Wellbeing self-assessments
Wellbeing self-assessments describe how you are doing right now rather than what you are like in general. They are snapshots, and the value comes from repeating them and watching the direction of travel.

What these assessments measure
The self-esteem assessment measures global self-worth: how favourably you evaluate yourself overall, in the tradition of the Rosenberg scale. The stress assessment measures perceived stress — how unpredictable, uncontrollable and overloaded life has felt recently — rather than counting stressful events.
Who they are for
Anyone who wants a structured check-in. They are particularly useful before and after a period of change: a new job, a move, an exam season, a difficult few months.
How results are calculated
Items are scored on a five-point scale, reverse-keyed items are flipped, and the total is converted to a percentage and placed into a band with a written interpretation. Bands are descriptive labels for ranges of scores, not clinical cut-offs.
How to interpret your result
A single score means less than a trend. If you take the stress assessment monthly, the useful information is whether the number is climbing. A high stress score is not a verdict on how you are coping; it is a signal about the load you are carrying.
Limitations
These are educational self-assessments, not clinical instruments and not diagnostic. If your result concerns you, or if low mood or stress is affecting your daily life, a conversation with a doctor or qualified mental health professional is the right next step.
Frequently asked questions
Is a high stress score a medical problem?
No. The assessment describes how stressed you have felt recently. It cannot diagnose anything. Persistent stress that affects sleep, work or relationships is worth discussing with a doctor.
How often should I retake these?
Monthly is a reasonable rhythm for the stress assessment. Self-esteem changes more slowly, so every few months is enough.
